Summer fun

James, Lila and I spent the day outside today.  James did not like the grass, Lila wanted to eat rocks. They meet our kitty today.  Lila grabbed his tail, James was very gentle he gave the kitty a few pats.  The cat's curiosity entertained James and Lila.

James; do I have to touch the grass
Lila; this is so much fun

no worries mom it's just a rock

Book Worm

Well, Lila may not have mastered the army crawl yet but she likes books.

This is a good book mom

James, where are you?

James has mastered the army crawl.  He is exploring the house.  Lila can do 360 on her butt.  James is crawling circles around her keeping her spinning, she does not want to miss anything.
Here I am, Mom

on the move

test driving the big Red Wagon

Aunt Karla and Uncle Paul bought us this red wagon for Christmas.  Daddy put it together for us, we supervised.  It is so much fun to ride in, better than a ride in the stroller.  Thank you Karla and Paul.

Looks good dad

Splish, Splash

James and Lila love bath time.  We have the same routine every night (the three B's) bath, bottle, bed .

Nine Months Old!!!

"They grow so fast."  During my pregnancy so many moms told this to me.  I have enjoyed watching James and Lila grow and explore the world around them. I can say from my own experience all of you moms' were right, they do grow so fast.

We visited Dr. Sawyer today for James and Lila's nine month check up.
James is 16.5 pounds (<3 percentile)  our little peanut
Lila is 18.3 pounds (39 percentile)

To the Greatest Dad

James and Lila are so blessed.  I always knew having a family was in my plans.  I never knew raising a family would be this great.  Thank you  Kory, I am so happy to be sharing this experience  with you. James and Lila will soon thank you too as they grow and experience the wonderful joy you bring them. P4150318Kory and I spent father’s day weekend in Duluth running Grandma’s half marathon.  A great accomplishment.  This picture was taken the weekend before at a race in Goodhue.

Congratulations

In June we celebrated with cousin Whitney her graduation from Zumbrota High School.  Whitney will be attending University of Wisconsin-Stout this fall.  We are looking forward to hearing from Whitney all about her first semester.  We wish you the best Whitney.

Take me out to the ball game…

On June 12th we took James and Lila to their first Minnesota Twins game.  It was a wonderful day, so great to watch baseball in an outdoor stadium.  James and Lila  were so good.  The next game we might have to buy some peanuts and cracker jacks to keep them entertained.

Welcome

The family is now even.  On May 29th James and Lila welcomed their new cousin; Blake William.  In seven months time the family has grown from zero to four;  Lila , Isabel, James and Blake.  Isabel is eight months old she is my sister Karla and her husband Paul’s first daughter.  I am excited to watch them grow up together.
